A man was arrested at the site of a reported burglary in progress at a Coos Bay home, facing charges that include mail theft, according to the Coos County Sheriff’s Office.

Coos County Sheriff’s Office officials said that deputies responded to a reported burglary in progress at a home on Isthmus Heights Road in Coos Bay. Responding deputies located the suspect, identified as Gage C. Campbell, 27, a short distance away from the home. A deputy obtained a video from the homeowner’s surveillance camera that allegedly captured Campbell inside the homeowner’s garage and rifling through her belongings. Upon interviewing Campbell, deputies discovered that he had other people’s mail and other items in his possession.
Arrest and Charges
Gage C. Campbell was arrested and transported to the Coos County Jail where he faces charges of first-degree burglary, mail theft, and second-degree attempted theft. According to jail records, Campbell remains in custody as of February 21, 2024.
