Tragic Shooting Incident in Fort Bend County Home

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Authorities in Fort Bend County, Texas, are currently investigating a tragic shooting incident that took place in a home on Spindlewood Drive in the early hours of Monday morning.

Deputies from the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office responded to a distress call at approximately 3:40 a.m. The home, located near Plantation Valley Drive, became the scene of a devastating discovery when the victim’s 17-year-old child found her mother shot to death in her bedroom. The victim has since been identified as Coralyn Hunt, a 38-year-old woman.

Neighbours residing near the home, who chose to remain anonymous when speaking to ABC13, expressed shock and disbelief upon learning about the tragic incident that unfolded mere feet away from their own residences. They claimed not to have heard any gunshots during the course of the night, further adding to the mystery surrounding the case.

As of now, law enforcement officials have not yet identified any suspects in connection with the shooting. They have assured the public that there is no immediate threat to the community. While details remain scarce, authorities have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing as they work diligently to uncover the truth behind this senseless act of violence.
