SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) — Over the weekend, a series of violent incidents unfolded in the bustling city of San Jose, resulting in the tragic loss of three lives.
Homicide and Car Crash Investigation
In East San Jose, a heart-wrenching incident took place as a man allegedly took the life of his girlfriend. The grim discovery of the woman’s lifeless body was made at a residence in the 2300 block of Arden Way on a fateful Saturday evening around 8 p.m.
The suspect, believed to be the victim’s boyfriend, met a tragic fate himself as he was involved in a fatal car crash shortly after fleeing the scene. Through the use of license plate readers, investigators were able to track down the suspect, whose identity, along with the victim’s, remains undisclosed at this time.
Triple Shooting Investigation
Adding to the somber events, a shooting incident unfolded on Sunday night in San Jose, claiming the life of one individual and leaving two others injured. Responding to a distress call, SJPD rushed to the parking lot of a business located in the 3000 block of Story Road.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. Tragically, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the woman was swiftly transported to the hospital in critical condition. Additionally, a third victim, another woman, arrived at the hospital independently with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.
Authorities are currently piecing together the events that transpired during the shooting, aiming to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this harrowing incident.
