Man Stabbed to Death at Rohingya Camp in Cox’s Bazar

In a tragic incident that has shocked the residents of Ukhia’s Jamtoli camp in Cox’s Bazar, a 38-year-old Rohingya man, Badsha Mia, was brutally stabbed to death by unknown miscreants on Saturday night. The victim, son of Sirajul Mia, was a well-known member of the Rohingya community living in the camp.

The brutal attack took place when 4-5 miscreants called out to Badsha Mia, beat him mercilessly, and then fled the scene after stabbing him multiple times. The locals who heard his cries for help rushed to his aid and transported him to the MSF Hospital. Despite their efforts, the doctor on duty pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Following the necessary procedures, the body of the deceased was transferred to the morgue at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for a detailed autopsy. Ukhia police station Officer-in-Charge Shamim Hossain stated that the motive behind this heinous crime is currently unknown and is under investigation.

This tragic incident has left the entire Rohingya community in shock and disbelief, as they mourn the loss of one of their own. The senseless violence that took the life of Badsha Mia has raised concerns about the safety and security of the residents living in the Jamtoli camp.
