Accident – Death – Obituary News : In the early hours of Saturday morning, a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Hwy. 14 and Winona County Rd. 119 on the eastern edge of St. Charles, MN, resulted in three individuals being rushed to the hospital. The incident, which occurred around 12:15 a.m., involved an eastbound car waiting to make a left turn onto the county road, an eastbound pickup, and a westbound car.

The State Patrol responded to the crash and identified 17-year-old Tessa Fay Ryan of St. Charles as the driver of the eastbound car. She was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the westbound car, 46-year-old Pearly Robert Paapcrabb and 50-year-old Sarah Hong, both from Winona, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the same hospital.

Fortunately, the pickup driver, 19-year-old Quintin James Ehlo of Minneska, MN, escaped unhurt. According to the State Patrol, alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts at the time of the incident.

In addition to the State Patrol, the St. Charles Police Department, St. Charles Ambulance, St. Charles Fire Department, Lewiston Police Department, Lewiston Fire Department, and Lewiston Ambulance all responded to the scene of the three-vehicle collision.
