Tragic Motorcycle Accident in Jacksonville, Florida

On a Friday night at around 09:45 p.m., a fatal traffic crash occurred in the 9300 block of Atlantic Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida. The incident involved a motorcyclist and a gray Toyota 4 door vehicle.

According to reports from the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was travelling westbound on Atlantic Blvd when the Toyota, exiting a shopping center, turned left onto westbound Atlantic Blvd from Beacon Point Rd.

The Toyota paused in the middle of the turn and was struck by the motorcyclist, causing the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle. The motorcyclist, a man in his mid twenties, was rushed to a local hospital by Jacksonville Fire Rescue but unfortunately was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and is cooperating with detectives. There is no suspicion of impairment on the driver’s part. The 9300 block of Atlantic Blvd was temporarily closed in all directions for investigation but has since been reopened.
