Oldest Pony at Mare and Foal Sanctuary Passes Away
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of one of our oldest and most beloved ponies, Tuppence. She had been a cherished member of our sanctuary for many years, bringing joy to both staff and visitors alike. Tuppence’s departure leaves a void in our hearts and a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten.
Tuppence was born in 1988, making her an impressive 36 years old at the time of her passing. She arrived at the sanctuary in 2008, carrying a foal and with another one on the way. She quickly became a favorite among our team, displaying a gentle and nurturing nature towards her offspring and other ponies in the sanctuary.
Throughout her time with us, Tuppence proved to be a resilient and strong-willed pony. She overcame numerous challenges, demonstrating her determination and perseverance. Her presence was a constant reminder of the strength and beauty that can be found in even the smallest of creatures.
Despite our best efforts to provide Tuppence with the utmost care and attention, her cause of death remains unknown at this time. Our dedicated team of veterinarians is conducting a thorough examination to determine the underlying factors that may have contributed to her passing.
