SESRIC Mourns the Passing of H.E. Amb. Askar MUSSINOV

SESRIC, the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries, is deeply saddened to learn about the sudden demise of His Excellency Ambassador Askar MUSSINOV. H.E. Ambassador Mussinov served as the Director-General of the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS) and Former Assistant Secretary-General for Science and Technology at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

On February 11, 2024, SESRIC expressed its profound condolences to Ambassador Mussinov’s family and friends through a tweet. The cause of his untimely demise is currently unknown.

H.E. Ambassador Askar MUSSINOV was highly regarded for his exceptional contributions to the Islamic world, particularly in the fields of food security, science, and technology. As the Director-General of IOFS, he played a vital role in coordinating efforts to address the challenges related to food security in member countries.
