In a recent development in Cao Bang province, the local authorities are determined to complete the land clearance for the Dong Dang – Tra Linh project within 100 days. This ambitious plan aims to ensure that all land is handed over to investors by June 15th for the project’s implementation.

According to the leaders of Duc Xuan commune in Thach An district, all affected households have agreed to hand over their land and have requested prompt relocation and the restoration of essential infrastructure. Similarly, Hanh Phuc commune in Quang Hoa district, with 289 affected households, is committed to coordinating with relevant agencies to ensure timely and satisfactory land clearance.

The local residents in these two districts have expressed their support and willingness to actively participate in the high-intensity campaign, considering it their responsibility and honor to contribute to the development of Cao Bang. Mr. Lam Van Soi, the Secretary of the Party Cell in Na Da hamlet, Hoa Thuan town, Quang Hoa district, whose family’s land will be acquired for the construction of the highway, stated that the highway has been a long-awaited aspiration for the people of Cao Bang. He further emphasized his family’s and the community’s full support and readiness to hand over the land as soon as possible for the project.

During the launch event, Hoang Xuan Anh, the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Cao Bang province, called on all levels, sectors, and localities, especially Thach An and Quang Hoa districts, to focus on implementing the land clearance campaign coherently and promptly. He emphasized the importance of effective communication and ensuring the legitimate interests of the local residents. Chairman Anh also urged the development of specific plans on a weekly and monthly basis to comply with land management regulations and to proactively and flexibly handle any arising challenges, with a strong determination to complete the land clearance ahead of schedule.

Nguyen Quang Vinh, the CEO of Deo Ca Group, pledged to accompany the “100-day and night campaign to complete the land clearance work” for the project. He praised the province’s resolute and serious approach, stating that with such strong determination, there is a solid foundation to trust that the project will be completed on time.

To demonstrate their commitment to handing over the land, the organizers conducted a land handover signing ceremony for the investors. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Dong Dang – Tra Linh project took place on the first day of 2024 in Thuy Hung commune, Thach An district, Cao Bang province.

The Dong Dang – Tra Linh project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 involves the construction of a highway according to TCVN 5729-2012 standards, with a design speed of 80 km/h and a road cross-section width of 17m for regular sections and 13.5m for complex sections. The project spans a length of 93.35km, starting from the Tan Thanh border gate interchange in Van Lang district, Lang Son province, and ending at the Chi Thao commune junction on National Highway 3 in Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province. The total investment for Phase 1 is 14,167 billion VND, with a project duration of 36 months.
