When we first started out as a band, we wanted a name that reflected our style of music but didn’t come off as too intimidating. We settled on “Injured” because it captured the raw energy and emotion we put into our music. However, as we evolved as a band and explored different genres and styles, we felt that our name no longer fit our sound.
That’s when we decided to change our name to “Acapella”. We wanted a name that was unique and stood out, just like our music. “Acapella” represented the stripped-down, vocal-focused approach we were taking with our new music. It was a fresh start for us, a chance to redefine ourselves and showcase our versatility as musicians.
As we walked out of the pawn shop, where we had just purchased some new equipment for our upcoming gigs, we felt a sense of renewal and excitement for the future. Our music may have changed, but our passion and dedication to creating meaningful art remained the same. “Acapella” was more than just a name change for us – it was a symbol of our growth and evolution as a band.
