The young child, identified as Abdul Samad, was playing innocently in his house when a television stand, along with the television set, toppled over and fell on him on Monday night around 9 p.m.

Details of the Accident
According to reports, the baby boy had tried to stand up by holding onto the old television stand, which had wheels. Tragically, the stand slid, causing the television to come crashing down on him, burying him beneath its weight. At the time of the incident, his parents, grandparents, and three siblings were present in the house, although it remains unclear if anyone was in the room when the accident occurred.
Local ward councillor Sakeer Hussain P.H. shared that the baby was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for initial first aid. However, due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to another hospital. Unfortunately, the hospital in Kolancherry did not have a doctor available, and a private hospital in Aluva had no vacant beds. Consequently, the child was taken to Aster Medcity, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries late on Monday night.
