Arrest Made in Harassment Case

In a recent development, Misri Shah police in Lahore have successfully apprehended a suspect involved in harassing a married woman. The suspect, identified as Abdul Rahim, was a neighbour of the victim. The woman, who was home alone at the time of the incident, was subjected to unwanted advances and forced to take pictures with the suspect. Thanks to her bravery in reporting the incident, the police were able to take swift action and register a case against the perpetrator.

Tragic Loss of Two Lives

Sadly, the city witnessed the loss of two lives in separate incidents over the weekend. A 65-year-old man was found deceased near Shahdara Mor, with authorities attributing his passing to the scorching hot weather. In another tragic incident, a 50-year-old man lost his life in a traffic accident in the Chung police jurisdiction. The victim was fatally crushed by a high-speed Mazda truck, and his identity has yet to be confirmed. The bodies were later transported to the mortuary by Edhi volunteers.

Arrest of Robbery Suspects

Authorities have made significant progress in combating crime with the arrest of two suspected robbers by the Organised Crime Unit (OCU) Defence. The apprehended individuals, known as Kamran alias Kami and M Imran, were responsible for a string of robberies targeting citizens, particularly in upscale areas. Police seized a staggering 123 million rupees in cash and illegal weapons from their possession, linking them to multiple cases of dacoity, burglary, and robbery. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details surrounding their criminal activities.

The first case occurred in Butt Chowk, Township, where a fire erupted due to a suspected short circuit. In a separate incident in Madina Colony, Shalimar Bagh, a fire broke out, fortunately resulting in no loss of life or injuries reported.
