A man has been taken into custody in connection with an alleged road rage incident that took place in Howard County, Maryland. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jeffery Johnson from Dundalk, Maryland, has been charged with multiple offenses related to the incident.

Charges Against Jeffery Johnson
Johnson is facing serious charges, including four counts of first-degree assault, four counts of second-degree assault, the use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, and four counts of reckless endangerment. After his arrest, he was transported to the Baltimore County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond.
Details of the Incident
The incident occurred on northbound Interstate 95, just north of Maryland Route 32, at around 3:30 p.m. on May 14. According to reports, a female driver and her three juvenile children were travelling north on I-95 when Johnson, driving a Nissan Altima, attempted to cut in front of her vehicle at a high speed, leading to a collision.
The victim stated that Johnson then stopped his vehicle in traffic, approached her car with a firearm, and subsequently fled the scene in his vehicle. As the victim drove away, Johnson caught up to her and once again pointed the firearm at her vehicle before fleeing the scene.
Connection to Previous Incident
Authorities noted similarities between this incident and a previous unsolved case from January 2022, in which a man named Charles “Charlie” Marks from Anne Arundel County was fatally shot in a suspected road rage incident on the same stretch of interstate. The investigation into both incidents is ongoing.
