Rodney Wesley Hudson Arrested in Drug Investigation

The recent arrest of Rodney Wesley Hudson, a 33-year-old Greenwood man, has brought to light a multi-state criminal drug investigation that began in September of 2023. Hudson made his initial appearance in Hancock County Superior Court 1 on May 7, where the court set an $85,000 cash bond. Surveillance was conducted on Hudson’s residence in Greenwood, and on May 1, he was observed in downtown Indianapolis engaging in a hand-to-hand transaction. On May 6, law enforcement followed Hudson into Hancock County and made a traffic stop in which a handgun and multiple bags of M30 pills were found in his possession.

Seizure of Contraband

During the traffic stop, officials seized a Sig Sauer P250 9mm handgun, multiple baggies of M30 pills containing hundreds of pills, and two Apple iPhones from Hudson’s vehicle. Additionally, Hudson admitted to law enforcement that he had placed pills in his pants, leading to the discovery of more pills tucked inside clear plastic baggies.
