Police Operation Uncovers Criminal Activities
The police were on a mission to investigate reports of rampant drug selling in the area when they encountered Padayao. As officers were conducting a validation of the information received, the suspect allegedly opened fire on them, triggering a firefight that resulted in Padayao sustaining multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite being rushed to the Cebu South Medical Center for urgent medical attention, Padayao was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending physician.

Among the items seized were a .45 caliber pistol, a .380 caliber revolver, live ammunition, and empty shells. Additionally, 49 plastic packs of suspected shabu, along with P3,770 in cash believed to be proceeds from illicit activities, were confiscated.
