In a recent development, a suspect in an April shooting in Prichard, Alabama, which tragically left one man dead and another wounded, has been apprehended in Georgia. The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) confirmed that the suspect is now in custody.

**Details of the Shooting Incident**

The incident took place on April 27, when Prichard police and MCSO deputies responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a gray Ford Edge with a deceased victim inside the vehicle. The victim was later identified as 33-year-old Donta Evans, originally from Galveston, Texas. Evans had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, according to investigators.

It was revealed that there were three other individuals in the vehicle with Evans at the time of the shooting. One of them was also injured by gunfire and had to be taken to a local hospital for treatment.

**Identification of Suspects**

Following the incident, Mobile County deputies executed a search warrant at the residence in Prichard where the shooting occurred. The primary objective was to obtain any available video surveillance footage. Through the footage obtained, detectives were able to identify two suspects, namely Robert Lamar McMillian, 19, from Semmes, and Laderick Davis, 20, from Prichard.

**Issuance of Warrants**

Warrants for murder and 1st degree assault were issued for both McMillian and Davis last Friday, as authorities intensified their efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice.

**Arrest of Laderick Davis**

Earlier this week, a detective from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia contacted Mobile detectives to inform them that they had successfully apprehended Laderick Davis. Davis was taken into custody after being involved in a vehicle incident, where three other individuals managed to flee the scene on foot. Upon searching the vehicle, authorities discovered two firearms. Davis is currently being held in Cobb County as he awaits extradition to Mobile.
