Despite being disowned by his family and friends in the UK, Minnis continues to boast about his life on the front line, where he claims to be laying landmines and explosives that kill Ukrainian soldiers.

Minnis, who hails from Wiltshire, joined the Russian army in January and has expressed his willingness to die for Putin’s forces, believing that he is ‘doing the Lord’s work’ by fighting in Ukraine. He described his proudest moment as swearing an oath to Russia and standing with his unit as the national anthem played.

In a social media post, Minnis referred to himself as a ‘sapper’ or combat engineer in the Russian army and praised Putin as the ‘greatest politician on earth’. He claimed that by fighting in Putin’s army, he is securing victory for Russia and by default, the citizens of the rest of the world. He also accused Ukraine of mass murdering its own citizens and criticized the West for arming and funding what he perceives as the mass murder of ethnic Russians.

Minnis, who plans to stay in Russia and obtain Russian citizenship, has been disowned by his family in Wiltshire. According to a family friend, his mother Tina from Chippenham was not even aware that Minnis was fighting on the front line.

Ben Stimson, another British mercenary fighting alongside Minnis, had previously been jailed for joining pro-Russian militia forces in 2015. Stimson is currently battling Ukrainian soldiers with the Pyatnashka brigade in the Donetsk region.

Minnis, who has a history of violence and racially aggravated offenses, was jailed in 2008 for an unprovoked racist attack on Darren McMillan. The attack left McMillan needing nine staples in a head wound and resulted in Minnis being sentenced to four years in prison.

Despite his troubled past, Minnis remains committed to his role in the Russian army, stating that he trusts his fellow soldiers and is willing to die for them. He has no intention of returning to the UK, as he believes he would be arrested for serving in the Russian army and in the Donbass region.

The English traitor’s decision to fight for Putin’s forces has sparked outrage and condemnation, with a former British Army commander branding Minnis and Stimson as traitors. As they continue to fight on the front line in Ukraine, their actions have raised questions about the motivations and beliefs of foreign mercenaries involved in the conflict.

The story of Aiden Minnis serves as a stark reminder of the complexities and dangers of modern warfare, where individuals from different backgrounds and beliefs are drawn into conflicts far from home.
