Tragic Incident in Bannu

A tragic incident occurred in Bannu, where an assistant lineman of Peshawar Electric Supply Company lost his life while working on a transmission line. The lineman, identified as Shadullah Khan from Ismailkhel Fatimakhel village, was dispatched to Mandan road in Kakki subdivision to fix a fault on the transmission line. Sadly, he was electrocuted during the course of his work, and his body was later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.

Arrest Made in Domel Area

In a separate incident in Bannu, the police arrested a suspect in Domel area for possession of 21kg of hashish. The suspect, identified as Baitullah from Landi Jalandhar area, was caught with the illegal substance in his car. A case has been registered against him, and he will face legal consequences for his actions.

Bandits Strike in Lakki Marwat

In Lakki Marwat, a group of unknown bandits targeted a truck driver, injuring him and looting cash and valuables from his colleague. The robbery took place near Peerwala Mor on Lakki-Darra Tang Road, where the armed men opened fire on the truck carrying coal. The driver, Shafiullah, was injured in the attack, while his colleague Razaullah had Rs137,000 cash and a mobile phone stolen from him by the bandits.

Illegal Activities Uncovered in Domel

Two traders were apprehended in Domel town after authorities discovered a large quantity of expired food items and substandard fertilisers in their warehouses. The deputy commissioner Shah Saud ordered the raid after receiving information about the hoarding of these commodities. The expired goods, including juices and canned milk, were intended to be sold to unsuspecting citizens during Ramazan.

Anti-Encroachment Drive in Naurang City

In Naurang city, the tehsil municipal administration launched an anti-encroachment operation to remove temporary structures from roadsides. Acting on the directives of Lakki deputy commissioner Rahmat Ali Wazir, the municipal body’s anti-encroachment squad cleared the urban locality of traders and pushcart vendors who had occupied the roadsides for displaying goods. The seized carts and goods were transported to the civic body’s office in tractor-trolleys.
