Authorities have revealed a shocking connection between two separate homicide investigations in Mississauga and Caledon, along with a series of residential shootings in Brampton. The incidents, which took place last November, are now believed to be linked, sparking a joint investigation by Peel Regional Police and Ontario Provincial Police dubbed Project Midnight.

During a press conference held on Thursday afternoon, police disclosed that “investigative information and forensic evidence” have established a connection between five shootings in Peel Region, including two that resulted in the tragic deaths of three individuals. Despite the shootings being targeted, the victims of the homicides were not the intended targets, according to Peel police.

**Brampton Shootings**

Three of the five shooting incidents occurred in Brampton in the week leading up to the killings. On November 7, authorities responded to a call at Cottrell Boulevard and Thorndale Road, where two suspects were reported to have discharged firearms outside a residence before fleeing in a black Dodge RAM 1500 pickup truck. Just days later, on November 11, another shooting took place near Laurenville Drive and Elburn Markell Drive, with suspects fleeing the scene in a burgundy Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck. Photos of the suspects have been released by Peel police.

The same Brampton residence was targeted once more on November 14 when a suspect shot into the home before escaping in a silver Mazda 3 hatchback. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in any of these three shootings.

**Mississauga and Caledon Homicides**

The following day, Peel police were summoned to Royal Windsor Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Mississauga, where a fatal shooting occurred at a local business. The victim, identified as 29-year-old Brampton resident Jagraj Singh, was tragically killed in what authorities have determined to be a case of mistaken identity.

In Caledon, a shooting at a residence on Mayfield Road on November 20 resulted in the deaths of two individuals and severe injuries to a third. The victims, identified as 57-year-old Jagtar Sidhu and Harbhajan Sidhu, were innocent bystanders who were wrongly targeted, according to investigators. Police are searching for multiple suspects involved in the Caledon shooting, with one individual last seen getting into a black pickup truck believed to have been stolen from Mississauga.

**Police Seeking Public Assistance**

Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information that may aid in the investigation. Photos of suspects have been released, and a dedicated tip line has been established for individuals to provide valuable information. Investigators are particularly interested in speaking with a person who was in the area of Mississauga Valley Boulevard and Arista Way when the pickup truck was stolen on November 14.

In a surprising twist, police disclosed that they had spoken with the Caledon homicide victims just days before their tragic deaths, shedding light on the complex nature of the ongoing investigation. As the search for answers continues, authorities are hopeful that public cooperation will lead to the identification and apprehension of those responsible for these heinous crimes..
