Details of the Arrest

Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore stated that evidence had emerged linking the teenage suspect to the four individuals who carried out the shooting. The other four suspects, identified as Asir Boone, 17, Jermahd Carter, 19, Jamaal Tucker, 18, and Ahnile Buggs, 18, are already in police custody. Vanore disclosed that the fifth suspect had reportedly identified the victims to the perpetrators while inside a Dunkin’ store, even instructing them to proceed with the attack by giving them a signal.

Motives and Charges

The suspects are facing a slew of charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault. The shooting incident occurred at around 3 p.m. as several Northeast High School students were waiting at a bus stop at Cottman and Rising Sun avenues in the city’s Burholme neighborhood. The injured students, aged between 15 and 17, were taken to hospitals for treatment. One victim, a 16-year-old boy, sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was listed in critical condition.
