Pius Lemiso Ndiwa : “Wanted Suspect Arrested in National Park”

In a major breakthrough, the police have successfully tracked down Pius Lemiso Ndiwa, the prime suspect in the brutal murder of two prison officers. Ndiwa, a retired officer, was apprehended deep inside the Maasai Mara National Park, where he had been living among wild animals. The detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) made the arrest at 11 pm on Tuesday, March 19.

Following his arrest, Ndiwa was taken for interrogation in Kilgoris to shed light on his involvement in the tragic incident. Despite the accusations against him, his wife has maintained that he was not present during the killings. The arrest of Ndiwa has brought the total number of individuals detained in connection with the deaths to six.

The retired officer had been on the run as more details emerged linking him to the killing of his two former colleagues. According to reports by Citizen Digital, Ndiwa, also known as Shonimeu, was discovered deep inside the national park, living in seclusion amongst wild animals. He claimed that he had been hiding in the wilderness, fearing for his life after the incident that shocked the nation.

The two prison officers, Inspector Patrick Mukunyi Kuya and Senior Sergeant Daniel Nairimo, had left Nairobi on Wednesday, March 13, on a mission to resolve a Sacco-related issue with Ndiwa, who had allegedly defaulted on a loan. Upon reaching Ndiwa’s homestead, they were met with hostility from his family after he labelled them as thugs.

In a tragic turn of events, Ndiwa’s two sons swiftly came to their father’s defense and launched a violent attack on the officers, who were dressed in civilian attire, using arrows and machetes. Transmara West OCPD Jamleck Ngaruiya confirmed the incident, stating that the police officers sustained multiple injuries from the brutal assault with crude weapons.
