In a devastating turn of events, a fatal accident occurred at Wathar along the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway on Sunday evening, resulting in the tragic loss of four lives. The driver of the truck involved in the accident has been identified as a resident of Purandar tehsil in Pune district. Despite efforts to apprehend him, he managed to flee the scene under the cover of darkness.

The victims of this heart-wrenching incident have been identified as Babalal Imam Mujawar (50), Vikas Dhondiram Vadd (32), Sachin Dhanawade (40), and Shrikeshwar Paswan (60) – all residents of Bhadole village. One individual lost their life on the spot, while three others succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at the CPR Hospital in Kolhapur. Currently, six injured individuals are receiving medical care at the hospital, with three of them in critical condition.
