Active Shooter Reported at Industrial Facility in Angleton, Texas
Two individuals have been hospitalized following reports of an active shooter at an industrial facility in Angleton, Texas. The incident occurred on Monday morning, and the suspect, identified as 34-year-old Bradley Jones, remains at large.
Local authorities in Angleton have confirmed that there is no longer an active shooter on the premises, but a significant police presence remains at the 900 block of South Velasco Street. The city officials have urged residents to exercise caution and avoid the area.
According to Angleton police, the incident was reported at around 8:20 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims who were immediately airlifted to the hospital. The current condition of the victims is unknown at this time.
Bradley Jones, the suspected shooter, had already fled the scene before the arrival of the police. It is believed that he is driving a 2015 silver or blue Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Authorities are actively searching for Jones and have appealed to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts. Jones is described as a 5 feet 8 inches tall, 150-pound man with blond hair and blue eyes.

The shooting took place at an industrial facility called Thermal Polymer. Police Chief Lupe Valdez revealed that Jones’ wife, a former employee of the company, is yet to be identified. Jones allegedly entered the building and held an employee at gunpoint before targeting the two victims.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage for further details. Meanwhile, the Angleton Independent School District implemented safety protocols and temporarily placed all schools in “secure” mode as a precautionary measure.
The University of Texas Medical Branch police announced temporary access restrictions to their Angleton Danbury Campus due to the ongoing investigation. Furthermore, authorities have advised motorists to avoid the area as Highway 288-B from Highway 35 to Dwyer has been shut down.
Family assistance services are being organized at the Angleton Recreation Center to provide support to those affected by the incident. The police urge anyone with information about Bradley Jones’ whereabouts to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation..
