Noida: A 40-year-old man was shot dead by two other bikers in the Dadri area of Greater Noida on Thursday. Police investigation revealed that the deceased had two bullet wounds. Police have registered a case against 10 people.
The deceased has been identified as Sukhpal Singh, a resident of Kasna in Greater Noida. Hospital officials said that the deceased received one bullet wound on his back and the other on the head. It seems that the man was shot in the head from point-blank range.

“Singh had left his house around 10:30am to Kashiram colony in Dadri to meet a woman he knows. The distance between his house and the colony is around 15km. At the Narayana roundabout two miscreants on a bike fired upon him from behind,” said Ashok Kumar, additional DCP, Greater Noida.
Passersby informed the police of the incident, and a team reached the spot.
The deceased was taken to Yatharth hospital where doctors declared him ‘dead on arrival’.
Sources in the police also revealed that the deceased was allegedly having an affair with the woman and was bearing their expenses.

“The deceased had shops in Kasna and survived on rental income. He lived with his wife and four children—3 boys and a girl. The family has also mentioned a land dispute. We are cross-verifying the allegations and the case is being investigated from all angles,” the officer said.
A case under IPC Section 302 (murder) has been registered and Singh’s family has filed a complaint against 10 people.
“Three teams have been formed to nab the accused and a few people have been detained. CCTV footage of the area is also being examined,” the officer added.
In related news, Chief Justice Ravi Malimath paid tributes to deceased judicial officers at a high court event. The event, held at the MP high court of Jabalpur, was attended by the full court and took place on January 11, 2023.
Additionally, a fire broke out in the Kasna slum cluster in Greater Noida, resulting in the death of a 20-year-old man. The fire, caused by a bonfire lit by slum dwellers, destroyed three shanties. The victim, Munshar Ali, suffered severe burn injuries and died. The police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
