Ballia: A horrifying incident unfolded in Uttar Pradesh as a man allegedly took his own life after brutally slitting the throats of his wife and two children in Ballia district on Sunday night. The shocking triple murder and suicide took place at Gram Sabha Devdih, under the jurisdiction of Bansdih Kotwali police station.

According to local residents, the bodies of the four family members were discovered in a mango orchard late Sunday night. As soon as the news broke, the police promptly arrived at the scene to investigate the case. Preliminary investigations indicate that an argument between the husband and wife escalated, leading the man to commit the heinous act before taking his own life.
The police revealed that at approximately 11 pm, the lifeless bodies of the woman and two children were found with their throats slit using sharp weapons. Tragically, the body of the man was found hanging from a nearby tree. The deceased has been identified as Shravan Ram, son of Mohan Ram, a resident of Devdih.
Before committing suicide, Shravan Ram left behind a suicide note, pointing to a possible dispute between the couple on that fateful Sunday night. Police suspect that, consumed by rage, the husband murdered his wife and children before ultimately taking his own life.
The police immediately responded to the incident, securing the bodies and sending them for post-mortem examination. Shashikala Devi’s maternal uncle informed the police that she had been subjected to cruelty by her husband, who frequently subjected her to physical abuse over trivial matters. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the entire incident.
