A motorcycle driver in southern Cebu suffered a broken left leg after colliding with an oil tanker along the national highway. The incident took place in Sitio Canohoy, Barangay Bulasa, Argao town on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at around 2 p.m. The victim, Ricky Villavito, who hails from the mountain barangay of Tulang, was driving towards the town proper at a high speed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the oncoming oil tanker en route to Cebu City.
According to Ronil Labrador, a barangay volunteer, the impact of the collision sent Villavito and his motorcycle flying several meters away, landing in a concrete canal. As a result, Villavito sustained a broken left leg.

Following the accident, Villavito was immediately rushed to the Isidro Kintanar Memorial Hospital in Barangay Bogo for medical treatment. Meanwhile, the truck driver involved in the collision was apprehended by the police.
