55-year-old woman identified as second victim in Caledon triple shooting

A second person has died after a shooting in Caledon last month. The incident occurred at a house on Mayfield Road just before midnight on November 20. A 57-year-old man from Caledon was declared dead at the scene, and two others were taken to the hospital with injuries. Sadly, one of the victims transported to the hospital has now passed away. The deceased has been identified as a 55-year-old woman from Caledon, but her name has not been disclosed. The third victim remains in critical condition at the hospital.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) believe there are several unidentified suspects involved in the incident. One of them was seen getting into a black pick-up truck that was heading westbound on Mayfield Road. Later, the truck was reportedly involved in a vehicle fire near Olde Baseline Road and Creditview Road. The police have previously released a photo of the vehicle and are urging anyone with footage of it to come forward and contact the investigators.

Additionally, the authorities are still requesting any available footage of the scene in Caledon between the hours of 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. during the night of the shooting. They are hopeful that this evidence could help in identifying the suspects and shedding light on the incident.

Despite these tragic events, the police assure the public that there is no immediate danger to public safety. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are working diligently to apprehend those responsible.
