Three individuals have been identified as individuals of interest in relation to the untimely demise of a transgender woman from Florence, South Carolina, according to authorities. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Shandon Floyd was discovered deceased in a vehicle in Columbia, South Carolina, shortly before midnight on November 14. This discovery occurred nearly a week after she was reported missing.
An incident report indicated that Floyd and a companion were visiting Columbia from Florence, which is situated just over an hour’s drive away. The report further revealed that Floyd and her friend were lodged together at a motel approximately 10 miles from the location where her lifeless body was found.

Floyd’s friend informed deputies that he had allowed her to borrow his car around 3 a.m. on November 9. However, she had not returned the vehicle as of 7:15 p.m. on the same day. While an initial investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department did not uncover any evidence of foul play, the names of the three individuals of interest have not yet been disclosed. Presently, no charges have been filed against anyone involved, as reported by WIS.
Nevertheless, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department did confirm that the individuals of interest reside in the Columbia area, where Floyd had been visiting.
