Jamie Foxx, the renowned actor, has found himself in legal trouble yet again. After collapsing on the set of the Netflix movie “Back in Action” due to a health condition, Foxx has now been summoned by the New York Supreme Court following a lawsuit filed by a woman accusing him of sexual assault. The woman, identified as Jane Doe, claims that Foxx assaulted her in 2015 at Catch NYC & Roof, a restaurant and rooftop bar in New York.
According to the lawsuit, Foxx allegedly placed his hands on the woman’s waist, complimenting her body and then proceeded to touch her breasts. He is also accused of dragging her to a secluded area on the rooftop and touching other parts of her body. The incident reportedly occurred when a friend of the alleged victim asked for a photograph with the actor. The lawsuit also includes the restaurant and its employees for not intervening during the incident.

Foxx, whose legal name is Eric Marlon Bishop, has vehemently denied all the allegations. His representative stated that the incident never happened and that a similar lawsuit was filed in 2020, which was later dismissed. The representative expressed confidence that the current lawsuit will also be dismissed and mentioned that Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against the woman and her attorneys.
While Foxx has not directly commented on the issue, his representative assured that he will take legal action against such alleged atrocities. It is yet to be seen how the court proceedings will unfold and what the outcome of the lawsuit will be.
This latest controversy comes as a setback for Foxx, who had recently recovered from a health condition that caused him to collapse on the set of his Netflix movie.
