Jamie Foxx Accused of Sexual Assault: Allegedly Made Flirty Comments, Groped Private Parts

Jamie Foxx, the popular actor, is facing a lawsuit alleging sexual assault at a rooftop bar in New York City. The incident reportedly occurred in 2015, just a few months after Foxx recovered from a health scare. The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous and is referred to as Jane Doe, filed the suit on Wednesday.

According to the legal documents, Foxx, who is 55 years old, was at Catch NYC & Roof on a summer night in August 2015. Doe claims she noticed the actor sitting at a table nearby. Around 1 A.M., she asked Foxx if he would take a photo with her and her friend. Foxx, who appeared to be intoxicated, agreed and made flirty comments, including complimenting her appearance and comparing her to Gabrielle Union.

Things took a disturbing turn when Foxx allegedly pulled Doe by the arm to a secluded area of the rooftop. There, he placed his hands on her waist and groped her private parts. Doe claims she tried to move away but noticed a security guard and others witnessing the assault, yet they chose not to intervene. It was only when her friend arrived and saw what was happening that Foxx stopped touching her.

The lawsuit states that Doe suffered physical and emotional distress as a result of the assault and had to undergo medical treatment for her injuries. She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages from Foxx, as well as the rooftop bar Catch and its employees.

Foxx has not yet responded to the allegations. Earlier this year, he was hospitalized for an unspecified medical emergency but has since made a full recovery. The actor seemed to be back to his normal routine before this recent legal challenge.
