Four villagers, including two young boys, were tragically killed by wild elephants in Karbi Anglong, Assam, on Thursday. The victims have been identified as Kania Toria (55), Ribika Kerketta (28), Geseya Kerketta (3), and Augustin Karmakar (1.5 years old), all from Bormanthi village.
The incident occurred around noon when Kania and Ribika were cutting grass in an isolated area near Bokajan town. The two boys were with them at the time. Forest department officials have reported that the villagers were trampled to death by the wild elephants.
