Former Milford Substitute Teacher, Emanuel Mendez, Indicted for Allegedly Sending Inappropriate Messages to a Child

A former Milford substitute teacher has been charged by a grand jury for allegedly sending inappropriate messages to a child. Emanuel Mendez, who was first arrested in May, is now facing felony charges based on the messages he allegedly sent to a person under the age of 16. The court documents state that Mendez endangered the welfare of a child by soliciting sex. Messages exchanged between September 2022 and January 2023 were highlighted in the indictment, with one message stating, “…my mind is racing wanting you more and more.”

The exact relationship between Mendez and the victim has not been disclosed. However, Milford schools confirmed that Mendez had already left the district before the allegations came to light.
