A shocking incident of road rage turned deadly in Bengaluru, as a biker allegedly killed a 77-year-old man. Initially, the police registered the case as a road accident, attributing the man’s death to injuries sustained in the crash. However, a closer examination of CCTV footage by the victim’s son revealed a brutal attack. Consequently, the police have changed the case to a murder investigation and have apprehended the accused, identified as Sarfaraz Khan. The victim, VV Krishnappa, tragically lost his life in the incident.
The incident occurred on the evening of November 15 in the Palace Guttahalli area, when Krishnappa set out on his two-wheeler to purchase medications. Passersby discovered him unconscious on the road and rushed him to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. At first, the police dismissed the incident as a road accident, placing blame on Krishnappa for not wearing a helmet.

However, Krishnappa’s son, Satish Kumar, suspected foul play and decided to review the CCTV footage from the area. The footage revealed that Sarfaraz Khan, riding a motorcycle, collided with Krishnappa’s bike, causing him to nearly lose control. Angered by Khan’s reckless behavior, the elderly man reprimanded him, urging him to drive responsibly. In response, Khan picked up a stone and viciously attacked Krishnappa. Despite the intervention of a friend who tried to stop him, Khan continued his assault. After Krishnappa collapsed, the two assailants fled the scene.
Thanks to the evidence provided by the CCTV footage, the police changed the case to a murder investigation. They promptly arrested Sarfaraz Khan, who now faces charges for the alleged killing. The victim, VV Krishnappa, will be remembered as the innocent victim of a senseless act of violence.
