An employee who reported a case of sexual harassment against Everest Metro police chief Clay Schulz will not lose her job, according to a report by WSAU Radio. Instead, the female employee will be relocated to the Weston Municipal Building, rather than remaining at the Everest Metro Police Department Headquarters. This decision was made by a joint committee in Weston, consisting of the EMPD’s Joint Finance Committee and the Everest Metro Municipal Court Finance Committee.

There was an attempt to terminate the employee, but it failed due to a lack of support for the motion. However, the employee will receive a letter of reprimand, which will be added to her record, as reported by WSAU.

Ben Hitchcock Cross, an attorney from Cross Law Firm in Milwaukee, stated that the case is far from being resolved. He criticized the investigation, claiming that it was insufficient in addressing the issue and only focused on gathering facts.

This is not the first time Chief Schulz has faced allegations of harassment. In September, he was initially accused but denied the claims. Following an investigation, he was not charged with any wrongdoing.

The decision to reassign the employee and issue a letter of reprimand reflects the joint committee’s attempt to address the situation. However, it is clear that the employee and her attorney are dissatisfied with the outcome and intend to pursue further action.
